The equipment on site should be fit for purpose and enable you to enjoy your activity. 

If you’re concerned about the equipment provided, you should inform a member of staff as soon as possible. They may be able to address the issue on the spot.

Certain activities do mean that customers need to bring their own (suitable) equipment.

If you feel like your complaints haven’t been fully addressed, you may be within your rights to leave your contract (as the gym hasn’t delivered their service to a reasonable standard).

If you’d like to see other equipment in your gym, you should let a member of staff know. They may be able to order in the equipment for you.

If you joined the gym because a certain piece of equipment was promised (verbally, in brochures, in sales material or otherwise) and that equipment is not present, you may be entitled to leave your contract – as the gym has not delivered the service as it was sold to you.
